Bill Gile

Bill grew up in Braintree, MA and became interested in the weather as child. The only part of the news that he cared about watching at the time was the weather. He always loved a good storm.

After graduating from Plymouth State College in 1989 with a B.S. degree in Meteorology Bill began Precision Weather Forecasting with Rob Gilman. From 1993-1997, Bill was also the weekend meteorologist for New England Cable News. He then moved to WJAR Ch. 10 in Providence, RI where he was the weekend morning meteorologist from 1997-2004. Now you can catch him filling in for the weather at any time for WBZ TV4 in Boston, MA and WMUR TV9 in New Hampshire

Bill is a member of the American Meteorology Society and has possessed the AMS Television Seal of Approval since 1991.

His hobbies include coaching and playing on a men's softball team, skiing, playing pool, bowling, astronomy and watching the World Champion Patriots and Red Sox. Bill still lives on the South Shore of MA with his wife and three kids that keep him quite busy between forecasting storms.
