Matt grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts and has been fascinated by the weather for as long as he can remember. As a child he would sit by the window for hours watching the snow fall or the lightning flash. In grade school he was always constructing weather related science projects. Matt even made a habit of telling classmates and teachers when he thought a snowstorm would cancel school.

Matt took this enthusiasm for weather to college. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a B.S. in Earth Systems and went on to earn an MS in Atmospheric Science from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

Matt learned valuable New England forecasting skills by interning at the Boston office of the National Weather Service. He is also a skilled marine meteorologist with global experience forecasting for the U.S. Sailing Team at the Beijing Olympics, the Volvo Ocean Race, and a winning U.S. Americas Cup team.

At Precision Weather Forecasting, Matt enjoys the close relationships he has built with clients and witnessing how his custom local forecasts significantly benefit their operations. He is always exploring new innovative methods for making PWF's forecasts the most precise, user friendly, and bottom line advantageous for customers.

Matt is a skilled sailor and an avid kayaker. Regardless of the weather or season, you can find him cruising the waters of Downeast Maine and Cape Cod. He is also an experienced hiker, climbing extensively throughout New England. Matt is a member of The American Meteorological Society and a SKYWARN weather spotter.
